Jack Reid worked in watercolour across a six-decade career, exhibiting in London with the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours and holding lifetime membership in the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour and The Arts and Letters Club of Toronto. He received the Commemorative Medal from the Canadian government in 1992 for his contribution to Canadian art, and was named Arts Person of the Year in his hometown of Brampton in 1990. His paintings are held in major corporate collections and in the personal collection of Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle.
