Forest For The Trees

Born in Windsor, Ontario, Shelley Newman trained in commercial art and fine art studies at OCAD and other Toronto schools. Specializing in oil painting for its luminosity, she focuses on contemporary impressionist landscapes marked by vibrant color and energy. Based in Georgetown since 2011, Newman is an Elected Member of the Society of Canadian Artists and Ontario Society of Artists. Her work is featured nationally and internationally and she maintains an active studio practice.
