Winter Is Our Time

Momcilo Simic is a largely self-taught Canadian representational painter known for his technical precision in portraits, multi-figurative compositions, and landscapes. Originally from Sokolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina, he holds a BA in psychology from the University of Belgrade. Since immigrating to Canada in 1999, Simic has earned recognition as a leading portrait artist, including commissions such as the Chief Justice of Ontario’s portrait for the Law Society of Upper Canada and multiple Kingston Prize finalist placements.
