Claude Langevin
Born in Montréal in 1942, Claude Langevin left medical studies to pursue art, developing a self-taught mastery of Canadian landscape painting. Settled in Sainte-Adèle, he draws inspiration from the Laurentians, often capturing the shifting tones and luminosity of snow. Langevin works from both plein-air sketches and studio practice, balancing observation with imagination. His bold use of colour and light transforms familiar scenes into radiant, atmospheric compositions.
