The Traveler

Steve R. Coffey, rooted in the Canadian prairies, is a MFA painter with a Master's of Visual Art, whose oil paintings explore the interplay of light, landscape, and atmospheric abstraction. Rejecting plein air and photography, he creates “Memory Polaroids”—mental snapshots blending perception and memory. His work balances formal composition with expressive color and gesture, reflecting a lifelong dialogue between visual art and music, each informing the other through rhythm, tone, and texture.
