Sacha Barrette, born in Saguenay Lac St-Jean, studied graphic design at the University of Quebec before dedicating himself fully to painting. His work is defined by the use of pure, unblended colour applied in flat, deliberate layers that emphasize form, texture, and light. Informed by extensive travel across the Americas, Barette’s disciplined, colour-driven compositions reflect a refined exploration of place, perception, and visual clarity.
