Born in Sainte-Monique, Quebec, Pauline Paquin is a self-taught painter known for vibrant, expressive depictions of childhood. Since 1979, her work captures the spontaneity and joy of children through bold colors and dynamic brushstrokes, with indistinct faces inviting personal reflection. Paquin’s figurative scenes evoke nostalgia and energy, set in urban or rural environments. She has been represented by Koyman Galleries in Ottawa for many years.
