Bruce Heggtveit
Bruce Heggtveit (1917–2002), born in Maidstone, Saskatchewan, was a prolific Canadian landscape painter of Norwegian descent. Trained under Ernest Fosberry and Frank Hennessey, he refined a controlled style that captured the interplay of light and shadow. Working primarily in pastel and oil, he produced thousands of works portraying the Canadian countryside. A respected mentor and exhibitor since the 1940s, his paintings are held in public, corporate, and private collections in Canada and abroad.
