Floral Vase

Garnet Hazard (1903–1987) was a Canadian painter and educator whose career bridged Saskatchewan, Chicago, New York, and Ontario. Trained at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, the American Academy of Fine Arts, and the Phoenix Arts Institute, he studied under Franklin Booth and Thomas Fogarty. As Director of Art Education in Regina and later instructor at the Carnegie Institute in Chicago, Hazard shaped generations of artists. His paintings, rooted in travel and a deep reverence for nature, are held in private and corporate collections.
