Coastal Exploration

Born in Edmonton in 1968, Randy Hayashi holds a BFA in Industrial Design and a Bachelor of Education. After a 15-year career in graphic design, he transitioned to painting in 2007. Inspired by Alberta’s landscapes, Hayashi works primarily in acrylics, employing layered color and texture with a loose, painterly style. His adaptable approach brings freshness to each subject, reflecting a continual exploration of technique and material.
