Bounteous Colour

Pietro Adamo (b. 1955, Toronto) is known for his richly textured abstract paintings that merge structured geometric elements with gestural, emotive colour. A graduate of the University of Toronto and Sheridan College, Adamo taught for two decades before devoting himself fully to painting in 1997. His work reveals a dynamic interplay of form and surface, achieved through both additive and subtractive techniques. His paintings are held in private and public collections throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
