Beyond Words

Susan Gale, born in Newfoundland in 1977, holds a BFA from NSCAD and is now based in Toronto. Her paintings reinterpret Canadian rural and urban landscapes through a refined balance of abstraction and representation. Using bold color, geometric composition, and a controlled graphic sensibility, she explores light, structure, and nostalgia. Her work reduces place to its essential visual elements, creating emotionally resonant images grounded in contemporary experience.
