William Goodridge Roberts (1904–1974, Bridgetown, Barbados) was a Canadian painter celebrated for intimate interiors, still lifes, and lyrical landscapes. Educated at the École des Beaux-Arts de Montréal and the Art Students League of New York, he served as resident artist at Queen’s University and later the University of New Brunswick, taught at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and was an official war artist with the RCAF. In 1952, he represented Canada at the Venice Biennale.
