Born in Edmonton in 1939, Vladimir Horik studied at the École des beaux-arts de Québec and Laval University before settling in Charlevoix in 1971. His landscapes are distinguished by vivid colour, dramatic contrasts, and bold perspectives that expand space into a luminous, almost elemental presence. Horik’s mastery of brushwork and composition renders his work instantly recognizable. His paintings are held in private and corporate collections across Canada and Europe.
