Born in Montreal in 1929, Normand Hudon studied at the École des Beaux-Arts before training in Paris under Fernand Léger, where he also met Picasso. Returning to Quebec, he gained renown as a caricaturist for Le Devoir and La Presse, later contributing to Expo 67 and founding Le Poing magazine. His paintings, marked by wit and playful candour, often depict Montreal’s neighbourhoods, schools, and courtrooms with a mischievous yet refined charm. His work is held in private and corporate collections.
