Littorio Del Signore (b. 1938, Sulmona, Italy) trained at the École des Beaux-Arts d’Annecy under J.P. Serralongue, earning highest distinction before returning to Italy, where he gained recognition in national exhibitions. In 1978 he immigrated to Montréal, where the city’s streets, carriages, and winter scenes became enduring subjects. His paintings, marked by colour, vitality, and a deep sense of place, established him as a significant figure in contemporary Canadian art.
