Jean Paul Iacurto (1908-2001, Montreal) began formal training at 12 and later studied in Paris at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière and Colarossi. Returning to Canada, he became known for portraits and views of Quebec City, the St. Lawrence, and surrounding landscapes. His refined technique and acute eye for atmosphere brought him national and international recognition. His works are held in the National Gallery of Canada, the Quebec Provincial Museum, and major private and corporate collections.
