Tina Newlove

Tina Newlove is an Ontario-based painter whose abstract oil works explore the tensions between family, work, and solitude in nature. A graduate of McMaster University (BFA, 1996), she has exhibited widely across Canada. Her work is held in the City of Toronto’s permanent collection and features in Hamilton’s King William Public Art Project. Newlove has received grants from the Ontario and Canada Arts Councils and served as a juror for the OAC’s Artists in Education program.

Tina Newlove is an Ontario-based painter whose abstract oil works explore the tensions between family, work, and solitude in nature. A graduate of McMaster University (BFA, 1996), she has exhibited widely across Canada. Her work is held in the City of Toronto’s permanent collection and features in Hamilton’s King William Public Art Project. Newlove has received grants from the Ontario and Canada Arts Councils and served as a juror for the OAC’s Artists in Education program.Tina Newlove graduated from McMaster University with an Honours BFA in 1996. Since then she has exhibited her work extensively in private and public galleries and Artist-run centres across Canada.

Tina’s abstract oil painting titled Organizing my Mind is in the City of Toronto’s permanent collection and her artwork is a part of the King William Public Art Project in the City of Hamilton. Her awards include grants through the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council for the Arts and she has been a juror for the OAC’s Artists in Education program.

Tina works from her studio in Campbellville ON and her painting themes relate to the intersections of work and family, alienation in modern society and the necessity of withdrawing into nature.
