In 1976, she settled in St. Bruno de Montarville and began to take painting and drawing classes in order to master and evolve her own technique. Odette founded the Association des Artistes Peintres de la Rive-Sud (South Shore Painters Association) in 1980 and through this organization, she participates in numerous exhibitions throughout Quebec and has the opportunity to meet many influential artists.
