Marie-Andree Leblond

Marie-Andrée is a Quebec-born painter whose work blends acrylic and watercolour ink to create richly layered compositions. A graduate of Cégep du Vieux Montréal in visual arts and Collège Salette in illustration, she entered the art market at 19. Her dynamic technique, marked by fluid colour and expressive form, reflects both early self-taught exploration and formal training. A graduate of Cégep du Vieux Montréal in visual arts and Collège Salette in illustration, she entered the art market at 19. Her dynamic technique, marked by fluid colour and expressive form, reflects both early self-taught exploration and formal training. She continues to evolve her practice with a focus on depth, tone, and the emotive qualities of colour.Marie-Andrée Born in June 1978 in St Jean sur Richelieu. She became interested in drawing at the very young age of twelve and learned oil painting on her own at the age of fourteen.

Upon receiving her diploma in visuals arts from the cégep du Vieux Montréal, she continued studying illustration at the Collège Salette. Marie-Andrée won a series of prizes at different municipal exhibitions and started being noticed by art galleries. She made her definite move to the art market at the age of 19.

Recognizing her chance and with a lot of ambition she still wants to learn from her work. Nowadays her paintings are mostly acrylics with water-colour ink, a technique which she has adopted for the richness of the colours.
