After retiring as a registered nurse specializing in Maternal Newborn health, Caroline decided to embrace her new passion for acrylic painting, taking her inspiration from her love of flowers.

Caroline currently resides in Ottawa and is constantly in awe of Canada’s four seasons and their vast and natural beauty. Enjoying travel, and time at the family cottage in Quebec, Caroline has found great inspiration from the surrounding landscapes that nature has to offer.

Caroline’s second greatest inspiration is her own garden and great fondness for all flowers, which she attributes to her mother and grandmothers, all avid gardeners. The strong colours and bold shapes inspire her to celebrate their vibrancy and cheerful beauty. Using photos, fresh blooms or painting plein air, Caroline will use broad relaxed strokes of soft and intense colour to create impressionistic-realistic acrylic paintings.

In 2018, Caroline travelled to Uganda for mission work where she spent some time at the Amani Family Centre. This outreach provides maternity and family support to vulnerable families living in Kanyogoga slum, Kampala. As a result of seeing firsthand the compassionate and powerful impact on that community, Caroline considers it a privilege that the proceeds of her work are used to directly benefit the clinic.

Caroline’s paintings are featured at Koyman Galleries, and her commissioned pieces can be found in private collections throughout Canada.
