Meredith’s use of colour and value conveys both a strong sense of place and a distinct painterly sensibility.Andrew Meredith was born in Truro, Nova Scotia, and grew up on the Bay of Fundy shore. His passion for painting evolved while surrounded by the vivid colours of farming, forestry and fishing. Andrew creates scenes of small, picturesque villages that reflect his deep maritime roots. As a child, Andrew loved to paint and continuously captured his sense of the beauty of the world with his brushes and acrylics. As he grew, so did his love of painting and the desire to become an artist who used various mediums to showcase his talent. With strong composition and a wide range of tonal values, Andrew’s paintings make full use of the canvas and emit a memorable warmth and vibrancy.

As a feature artist, Andrew’s paintings have been shown at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre in Saskatchewan and at the Fraser Cultural Centre in Tatmagouche, N.S. His paintings have been part of group exhibitions at the Canadian Museum of history in Ottawa.

Andrew has been commissioned to paint numerous pieces for charitable and corporate organizations. His paintings can be found in private and corporate collections across Canada, in England and other parts of the world.
