Otto Rut (1910–2005, Vienna, Austria) began his career studying with Viennese masters at the Döebling School of Arts before immigrating to Canada in 1950. Establishing himself in Ontario, he built a reputation through regional exhibitions, including a notable showing at Ottawa City Hall. Known for his refined technique and dedication, Rut painted for over six decades, continuing into his 80s. His long career left a legacy of work celebrated for its craft and vision.
