Otto Rut (1910–2005, Vienna, Austria) began his career studying with Viennese masters at the Döebling School of Arts before immigrating to Canada in 1950. Establishing himself in Ontario, he built a reputation through regional exhibitions, including a notable showing at Ottawa City Hall.
