Louis Tremblay is a Quebec born in  Baie-St-Paul in 1949

Louis Tremblay became acquainted at an early age with painter René Richard, a friend of his father’s who encouraged him to pursue an artistic career. He studied at the Université du Québec in Chicoutimi from 1980 to 1985 before studying art history at Université Laval from 1985 to 1986 and in 1991.
In 1969, he won the Grand Prix of the Baie-Saint-Paul Symposium, which allowed him to go to France for six weeks.The subjects he chooses are mainly semi-abstract landscapes, rural scenes of Baie-Saint-Paul, Kamouraska and the Gaspé Peninsula.
A member of the Institute of Figurative Arts, Louis’s reputation is based on thirty exhibitions throughout Quebec. His works can be found in various public and private collections in Quebec City, Alcan, Pratt and Whitney, the Consulate of France in Quebec City, Power Corporation, Desjardins, I.B.M., Bank of Nova Scotia and Inter Gaz in Toronto.
