Jane is a self taught mixed media artist working primarily with inks and resin. She immigrated from England to Canada in 1981.
While Jane was trained in school for advertising and marketing, she worked for over a decade across Ontario as an independent artist designing and hand painting on vinyl substrates with highly pigmented screening inks.
With her love of design and vibrant colour combinations, she transitioned into working and creating her own art several years ago that produce colourful contemporary patterns on birch wood panel glazed with epoxy resin to produce a brilliant finish. Her organic style collage based work is inspired by colour, nature (rocks and formation) and modern society.
Focusing on texture, each element being created on its own before coming together to form one cohesive piece. Jane’s art space is located just north of Barrie, in Midhurst, Ontario.
