Anna Clarey is a professional artist who paints out of her home studio in the Beach neighborhood of Toronto. She specializes in large Canadian landscapes characterized by her bold use of colour and contrast. Anna paints in acrylics which allow her to work quickly and spontaneously, using layers to highlight sunlight and shadow.
Anna finds most of her inspiration from her travels and camping trips in Ontario. Algonquin Park is especially magical and inspiring to her. She tries to get up there every summer to take photographs. Back in her home studio she recreates and interprets her vision onto canvas.
Anna has participated in over 40 group and solo shows. Anna’s work is displayed in galleries throughout Ontario and her paintings hang in private collections around the world.
