Lori Bagnérès, a visual artist born in Ontario, and living in North Vancouver, graduated from L’école Nationale des Beaux Arts de Grenoble in France receiving her MFA in Contemporary Art. She currently pursues multiple creative interests as an artist/curator/art educator in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland and her works are shown in public and private galleries in B.C. and Ontario.
Lori’s mixed media artwork creates its depth from the interconnectedness of spaces that humans share with the environment. Images of serene landscapes converse with an edgy, cultural world. The cold hard surfaces of graffiti feature prominently in Lori’s work only to become warm, exposing the beauty of both the urban and the natural.
